WICHITA, Kan. - Jakob Butturff of Chandler, Arizona, once again finds himself one win away from his first major title after earning the top seed for the stepladder finals of the U.S. Open for the second consecutive year on Tuesday.

Butturff will be joined in the stepladder at Northrock Lanes by Kristopher Prather of Plainfield, Illinois; EJ Tackett of Bluffton, Indiana; Dom Barrett of England; and Marshall Kent of Yakima, Washington.

WICHITA, Kan. - With one round of match play remaining at the 2018 U.S. Open, Jakob Butturff of Chandler, Arizona, has surged into the lead and looks to earn the top seed for the stepladder finals for the second consecutive year.

WICHITA, Kan. – The field at the 2018 U.S. Open now is complete with the conclusion of a pre-tournament qualifier held Wednesday at Northrock Lanes. 

Total pinfall for eight games determined the 28 competitors joining the main field, bringing the total to 144 bowlers. A total of 116 players already had earned direct entry into the 2018 U.S. Open based on their on-lane performances in 2017.
