Johnson claims 2025 USBC Senior Queens title

LAS VEGAS – United States Bowling Congress Hall of Famer Liz Johnson of Niagara Falls, New York, defeated Rina Sabo of Bennett, Colorado, 243-185, to win the 2025 USBC Senior Queens title.
Johnson adds to her already extensive trophy case, winning the event in her Senior Queens debut and joins Sandra Postma and Anne Marie Duggan as the only bowlers to win USBC Queens and USBC Senior Queens titles.
USBC Hall of Famer Pete Tountas dies at age 86

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress recently learned of the death of USBC Hall of Famer Pete Tountas, of Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 86. According to the Arizona Daily Star, Tountas passed away on Feb. 27.
Tountas was born on Aug. 8, 1938, in a small mountain village in Greece. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 and lived with his uncle and their family in Hammond, Indiana.

TUCSON - Tucson Metro USBC held their annual Hall of Fame Ceremony March 1, inducting Heidi Woods and Bennie Gemello for Superior Performance.
The ceremony took place after the conclusion of the final team squad for the 81st Annual Tucson Metro USBC City Open Championships and 75th Annual Women’s Championships at Lucky Strike Bowl.
