Reno, Nev.—Chris Via won his first career Guaranteed Rate PBA Tour title by defeating Jakob Butturff in the championship match of the 2021 U.S. Open, 214-213. Via, who has qualified for five of the last seven televised major championship finals, also earned the fifth and final spot in the PBA Super Slam, which will air live on FOX Broadcast Channel April 18 at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Sectional Assignments Announced

ARLINGTON, Texas - The sectional assignments for the 2021 Intercollegiate Team Championships were announced Wednesday.

The four sectional qualifiers will take place April 16-18 at Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tennessee; Stardust Bowl in Addison, Illinois; Poelking Lanes South in Dayton, Ohio; and USA Bowl in Dallas.

The top four men's and top four women's teams from each sectional will advance to the ITC, which will be held May 5-8 at the Spectrum Entertainment Complex in Wyoming, Michigan.
