ARLINGTON, Texas - The Professional Women's Bowling Association now is accepting memberships for the 2018 season and entries for the first three standard events of the year.

Women who have achieved an average of 180 or higher in a United States Bowling Congress certified league can apply for PWBA membership. International bowlers may join if they average 180 or higher and provide proof from their country's bowling federation.

ARLINGTON, Texas – Shirley Garms, a United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame member from Island Lake, Illinois, died Wednesday January 31, 2018. She was 94.

Inducted into the USBC Hall of Fame in 1971 for Superior Performance, Garms was one of the top bowlers in the nation during the 1960s. She was named the Bowling Writers Association of America (BWAA) Woman Bowler of the Year in 1961 and 1962.

The Arizona State men and West Texas A&M women collected their first Tier 1 victories of the season at last weekend's Rebel Classic in Las Vegas.

The 2018 event was contested at The Orleans and featured six traditional games and 12 two-game Baker matches, with total pinfall, including bonus pins, determining the champion in each division.
