East Valley Bowlers Help Support A Good Cause-Help Out Our Vets.

Mesa - - - During the days leading up to Veterans Day. It is an annual event that takes place among local and state USBC bowling associations through out the United States.

It is an annual event where you will see association directors at your favorite bowling center sell 50/50 raffle tickets to raise funds, and spread awareness for the BVL prior to the start of league play across the country.

While the Veterans appreciate the fund raising efforts for them, and spreading awareness of the BVL, there are five words that they want to hear from us that neans more to them than anything else. Those five words are: 'Thank You For Your Service'.

The Wednesday Nighters Mixed Bowling League at Brunswick Zone Mesa, was one league in the Valley that payed homage to the Vets in its league. And, did in fact say 'Thank You For Your Service' before the start of league play on

Wednesday Nov 11. Vets who are members of the league, where introduced to those who were in attendance, and gathered for a group photo on the approach following the short ceremony.

As a board member of the Mesa Metro Association, I was proud to participate in the fund raising efforts and thank each Vet I came accross along the way.
