Mesa - - - During the weekend of September 15-16, the tenpinexpress.com, was showing its support of bowling, by working the 39th Annual Arizona State Senior Women's Tournament at Mesa East Bowl in Mesa, Arizona. Pictured above are two of the teams that traveled and competed in the event from Sierra Vista. The Sierra Sweethearts and the Sassy Strikers.
Representing the Sierra Sweethearts were (front row): Norma Dovers, Peggy Morris , Marla Plumb, and Lea Rolland.
Representing the Sassy Strikers were (top row): Mary Stierman, Irene Thiele, Linda George - Wisnom, and Cheryl Webb.
Sierra Vista is about a three hour drive southeast of Mesa. These eight ladies regularly bowl in leagues in that part of the state.

Mesa East Bowl also hosted the Arizona State Masters and Queens event on August 26th.
Brett Wolfe won the Masters title for the second straight year, as did Tina Williams on the women's side. Andrew Cain and Correen Lieber finished in second place.
