Misc Notes:
*The tenpinexpress.com would like to send its condolences to the Arthur family of Phoenix. We were sadden to learn of Lynn's recent passing. We did a story on his bowling career for the Desert Bowler for the April 2016 issue. We took away from the interview his passion for the game, and his desire to get better in our sport. He was a regular entrant in the Strike Force Tour events in the valley, and will be missed by all.
*The annual 'Valley Of The Sun' senior tournament was held this past weekend Oct 13-14 at AMF Mcray Lanes in Chandler. The 36th Annual event showcases some of the top senior bowling talent in the valley. In recent years, the tournament has been co-run by the Mesa Metro and Metro Phoenix Associations on a rotating basis. In 2019 Metro Phoenix will host the event. Mesa Metro hosted it this year.
*The annual 'Bowl For The Cure' fundraiser was also held this past weekend at AMF Peoria Lanes in Phoenix, and Cactus Bowl in Tucson. Congratulations goes out to Mandy Etem and her team for putting on another successful event in the valley.
*Rounding out this past weekend, a mega bowling ball demo was held in the valley as well. A big 'thank you' goes out to: Dave Cirigliano, Jim Pratt, and Craig Spencer for putting this event together. Over 150 bowlers had the opportunity to try out 35-40 bowling balls that will be hitting the market soon.
