December King Of The Hill Goes To Cote. Courtesy Of Ed O' Hara Tucson Bowl.

Tucson- - - Congratulations to Bryanna Cote for winning the December, Tucson Bowl King of the Hill Tournament. We had a great turnout with 27 entries. This was supposed to be the final event of the Summer/Fall 2018 points race, but due to technical difficulties, we were unable to put out the scheduled oil pattern, so no points were awarded. The first event of the 6 event, Winter/Spring 2019 Season, on January 13th, 2019, will serve as both the final event of the Summer/Fall 2018 Season, and the first event of the Winter/Spring 2019 Season. I am sorry for the problems created by our inability to put out the scheduled oil pattern. I do understand that tournament bowlers bring equipment based on the scheduled oil pattern, so I thank all of you for bearing with the problem, staying, and bowling in the tournament.

Pony Singles 2nd Quarter Week 9 of 9, 12/17/2018: Congratulations to our second quarter singles division champions: Shawn Kozak in the 214 and over division, Pat Lombardo in the 202 to 213 division, Randy Norton in the 196 to 201 division, Tom Kane and Jimmy Diaz, co-champions of the 190 to 195 division, Tom King in the 182 to 189 division, and John Lesner in the 181 and under division. End of the second quarter standings are linked to this message. We have two new bowlers signed up for the third quarter, Zelle Rubio and Andrew Jacobs, who are replacing two of the bowlers that dropped out of the league during the second quarter. We still have two more openings for third and fourth quarter singles, replacing the two remaining bowlers who dropped out during the second quarter. With the standings-by-quarter format, there is no disadvantage to bowlers joining singles at mid-season. Cost is $5 per week ($85 for the 17 weeks remaining of third and fourth quarter singles). I'll publish the third quarter divisions over our holiday break once I have the two remaining openings filled: First come, first served...
