Women's OC Returns To South Point In 2025 - Courtesy Of Bowl.com.
ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress Women’s Championships will return to the South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas for the 2025 event through an agreement between USBC and the South Point Hotel and Casino.
The tournament originally was scheduled to be held in Reno, Nevada, in 2025, but the opportunity to host the 105th edition of the event reopened after Reno agreed to host the 2024 USBC Women’s Championships at the National Bowling Stadium.
The event previously was held in the 60-lane tournament venue in 2016 and 2023. The 2023 Women’s Championships ran from April 23-July 2.
“We’re glad to once again work with our partners at the South Point Hotel and Casino to bring the USBC Women’s Championships back to Las Vegas in 2025,” USBC President Melissa McDaniel said. “We recently concluded a successful tournament at this great venue, and we look forward to bringing another incredible experience to our bowlers alongside the team at South Point.”
The South Point Bowling Plaza opened its doors to USBC’s long-duration events at the 2016 Women’s Championships, and the venue will host the USBC Open Championships for the fifth time in 2024.
“This past Women’s Championships was very successful here at the South Point, so we could not be more excited to have them back in 2025,” South Point Hotel and Casino General Manager Ryan Growney said. “The USBC is an absolute pleasure to work with and everyone here at the South Point loves having the USBC bowlers on our property. We look forward to this event as much as any on our calendar. We appreciate the USBC having the confidence in us to host this prestigious event once again.”
The upcoming schedule for the Women’s Championships also will feature an opening for a new location for the 2027 event. USBC is evaluating proposals for alternate locations with a preference to hold the event in the eastern United States.

Chandler - - - Amarr Bryant and Alex London captured JBT titles in exciting Arizona Conference action at the building it all started at 28 seasons age, Bowlero Kyrene in Chandler.
Bryant put on a command performance in the stepladder finals, beginning with a 226-123 win over Ryan Zent. The semifinal match was a strange one as he an Aiden Ruiz-Jimenez both bowled great for nine frames then both missed makeables in the tenth, allowing Amarr to escape 236-225. Top seed Mike Jones had the best performance of his JBT career en route to his first time grabbing the number one spot. This match had the reverse of the semi, as each bowler came through in the tenth, first Mike with strike-spare, then Amarr with a powerful double to claim the win 233-224 and second career JBT title.
Jazmyn Meinhardt also began a climb up the stepladder finals in the handicap division, beginning with a 250-214 win over Keegan Olson. She followed that up with a 202-172 win over Isaiah Pino to reach the title game. Alex London awaited there, eager to avenge his runner-up performance at August's Desert Open. He did just that, rolling a confident game en route to a win over Meinhardt, good for his initial JBT victory.
Ruiz-Jimenez completed his excellent day with an earlier win over Nathan Harnit for the U17 title. Girls Scratch went to Paityn Gaines, winning her first in that category by beating Kendall Bollea. Chandler - - - Cesar Padilla was exceptional in scratch, while Jacob Vasquez pulled off some come from behind brilliance, capturing titles in tremendous JBT Arizona Conference action at Chandler's Bowlero Kyrene.
In our exciting 'super survivor' format, the low game and the lowest overall totals are eliminated game by game until only one survivor stands. The scratch division was all about defending Bowler of the Year Padilla, who led qualifying, a big advantage in this format, and expanded it round by round. It almost fell apart for him in the penultimate round though, as his 206 tied for low game with Nathan Tidball, with Cesar only surviving on the total pinfall tiebreaker. That round also saw Ryan Zent, Brandon Rother, Quinten Bell, and Tidball eliminated in that order in pinfall, leaving Aliyas Sargento to take on Padilla for the title. Aliyas had his breakthrough win at Desert Open in August, but Cesar left no chance for Sargento to win his second, starting with the front seven en route to a 268 final score and 7th career JBT title.
Handicap was a totally opposite story, with first (Terrell Coates) and sixth (Jacob Vasquez) separated by a paltry 42 pins after five rounds. In that frantic next round, season points leader Pablo Ypina had the low game, while Vasquez' 247 was just enough to leap all the way to second best pinfall behind Coates, advancing them to the title game, and leaving Brayden Sibilla, Jaida-Marie De La Cruz, Xavier Provencher, and Ypina in third through sixth. In that game, Vasquez came through with another big score, enough to get past Coates and win a long-awaited first career JBT title.
Kendall Bollea wrapped up a solid weekend with the Girls Scratch win over Kendall Bollea, while Brandon Rother defeated Carlos Belnap for the U17 crown. Big thanks as always to the team at Kyrene for hosting a big weekend that again awarded over $5,000 to bowlers of all ages and skill levels. Want in on all this unique fun?
