*Schenck Wins CBE Event. Courtesy Of CBE.

Sun City - - - Today (8/23), CBE welcomed back the Open division in a sold out fashion and it did not disappoint. Scoring pace was high, but lanes got ugly in the finals and came down to shot making.

Coming out on top was: Cortez Schenck, who took home another title after defeating Matt Jones 193-189. Congrats Tez on another win.

Here’s your top 5:

1. Cortez Schenck

2. Matt Jones

3. Gregory Thompson Jr.

4.  Mathew Adragna

5. Michael Haugen Jr

I will do my best to get results posted and caught up for the past 2 tournaments.

Our next CBE will be the $1,500 first place event at Bowlero Mesa which is almost sold out as of this post. If you’d like to bowl, let me know and if you’re on the roster, please send your entry fee ASAP to reserve your spot.

Thank you and see you all on September 13th.

We will be using 12-16 lanes for this event, with a buffer pair and a pair in case of lane breakdown.

This event is with handicap. Handicap will be based on a Challenge condition converted average from your composite league average from the 2019-2020 season. If you do not have a 2019-2020 season composite average, we will use your composite league average from the 2018-2019 season. In the case you have no composite average, you will be bowling scratch, which is zero handicap. The handicap amount will be 215 at 85% per game.

Side Action will be available:

1. All-day high series with handicap Sweeper - $10; payout to the top 1 in 4 entries

2. High handicap game per squad (not per game) - $10

There will be two squads with each squad qualifying 1 in 6 bowlers. Each squad will be 4 games. There will be no re-oil between squads. Current selected oil pattern is the PBA 38’ Wayne Webb, which may be viewed at: https://www.pba.com/OilPatterns and https://www.pba.com/Content/images/oilpatterns/2020%20Wayne%20Webb%2038.png.

Brackets will start game 2 for each squad. After completion of the qualifying squads, if there were at least 48 paid entries, there will be an 8-person single-elimination bracket match play to determine the winner. If less than 48 paid entries, the top 4 qualifying bowlers, evaluated by total pin-fall plus handicap, will bowl an eliminator format final to determine the winner. After qualifying no pin-fall totals will carry over. When you qualify, you cash. If we reach at least 40 total paid entries, there will be a bonus of $70.00 for the highest non-cashing senior and a bonus of $70.00 for the highest non-cashing female bowler, with the same listed prizes as stated above.

If you bowl the first squad and do not qualify, re-entries will be allowed based on open spots, first come, first served.

It is recommended to pre-register for this event and pay via Venmo to E-BCTournaments to ensure you will have a spot.

If you would like to pre-register, please respond to the “E&BC Tournaments” Facebook event post with which squad you would like to bowl and whether you have paid or will be paying the entry fee via Venmo. If you pre-register without paying the entry fee, you will run the risk of not securing a spot in the tournament. I will update squad postings as entries come in. Lastly,
