Tucson - - - Tucson Metro USBC President, Al Ayala, presents a check in the amount of $3,850.00 to Mary Martell, Chief of Volunteer Services, at Southern Arizona VA Health Care System Administration on January 31, 2020 at the VA Campus, Tucson, Arizona. Also in attendance for the check presentation is Tucson Metro USBC Officers: Stephanie Becker (1st Vice President) Jerry Coderre (2nd Vice President), Rosie Ayala (3rd Vice President) and Kimmy Kamerer (VA Volunteer Specialist).
This check is for donations raised by Tucson Metro USBC and the bowling community in Tucson throughout the bowling season. This includes the Arizona State Jamboree, hosted by Tucson Metro, a BVL Tournament, 50/50 tournament ticket sales, raffles and sales of donated items at our tournaments as well as personal BVL donations.
All donations collected in Tucson stay in Tucson to support our local Veterans at our local VA Administration. We are happy to do our share in support of our well deserved Veterans who made many personal sacrifices to give so much to all of us and our country. Thanks to all of you who helped make this possible and a special thanks to our Veterans. Together we can and will make a difference!

Chandler - - - The Midweek Madness Spring 2020 League at AMF Chandler has a single vacancy available. The League bowls on Wednesday nights and cost is $20. This is a sanctioned and handicapped league and all bowlers are welcome. Glendale - - - Pony League, Sponsored by Revolutions Pro Shops, Summary after Week 23 of 36 (Third Quarter Week 5 of 8), February 3, 2020: With three weeks remaining in the third quarter, 14 teams are within one weeks points of the first place. Dawg Pound and Band of Misfits share the lead at 32-8, followed by Old Man Club at 30-10, Jackwagons at 29-11, and four teams at 28-12: Glory Bowl, Anger Sharks, Gonna Out 60 ft Ya, and Out of Control. Congratulations to Troy Blickenstaff who rolled his second perfect game of the season. John Conaway just missed perfection with a 298. Jared Johannsen's 289 and Steve Roberts 279 rounded out the high game leaders. Steve Roberts 764 series topped the weekly high series leaders, followed by Jared Johannsen's 738 and a trio of bowlers at 724: Sean Beck, Troy Blickenstaff and Jim Bungard. Alison Super-Kozak rolled the weekly high game for the ladies with a 236. Mandy Etem Cirigliano 231, Shirley Avvenire Braverman 220, and Tracie Roberts 213 rounded out the ladies high game leader board. Shirley Braverman's 626 series was high for the ladies with Mandy Cirigliano's 615 also topping the 600 mark. Pony League bowlers averaged 188 per game for the evening with the season to date average remaining at 188 per game per bowler.

Pony League Singles Week 22 of 34 (Third Quarter Week 5 of 8), 2/3/2020: Three weeks remain in the third quarter for singles and team competition. Shawn Kozak (32-8) holds a slim lead over Steve Roberts (30-10) in the 215 and over division. Larry Spitali (28-12) and Carey Lee Hofmann (28-12) share the lead in the 208 to 214 division. Don Tistle (33-7) has opened up a seven point lead over Philip Glass (26-14) in the 201 to 207 division. Eight bowlers are within seven points of the leader in the 196 to 200 division with Jeff Zook (26-14) atop the fray, followed by Jeff Lawson (25-15), Keith Matter (24-16) and Cliff Adams (24-16). The 188 to 195 division has six bowlers within five points of the leaders. Rich Strowman (29-11) heads the way with Tony Cabrales (28-12) next, then Jacqueline Smith (26-14). Alison Super-Kozak, Michael Zagerman and Les Freeman share the lead at 28-12 in the 176 to 187 division with Stuart Porter (26-14) close behind. Dave Ball and Scot Piercy, both 30-10 share the lead of the 175 and under division. Jeff Stone (28-12) is third.
