ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress will grant an additional year of eligibility to student-athletes competing during the 2020-2021 USBC Collegiate season.

The decision is consistent with announcements from other collegiate athletic organizations and was made in conjunction with the USBC Collegiate Advisory Committee, comprised of representatives from the NCAA, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association and National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association.

The 2020-2021 season originally was postponed in July due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is scheduled to begin in January 2021 as a second-semester sport.

"After reviewing the decisions made by other organizations and discussing options with the USBC Collegiate Advisory Committee, we agreed to grant an additional year of eligibility to student-athletes participating in the upcoming season," International Bowling Campus Youth Development Managing Director Gary Brown said. "With things changing daily across the country, we feel this decision provides the flexibility for the best possible student-athlete experience."

The 2020-2021 season will begin Jan. 1, with the regular season concluding March 28. The sectional assignments for the 2021 Intercollegiate Team Championships will be announced March 31.

The sectional qualifiers will take place April 16-18 at four locations - Stratford, New Jersey; Smyrna, Tennessee; Addison, Illinois; and Dallas.

The 2021 Intercollegiate Team and Singles Championships will be held May 2-8. The host city and venue for the ITC and ISC have not been finalized.

Tucson - - -SENIOR WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT UPDATE: We are all feeling the repercussions of the pandemic in our leagues and tournaments. In an attempt to continue bringing tournaments to our bowlers we may need to make adjustments to create a better experience for everyone. The Senior Women's Tournament Directors have decided it would be more practical for everyone involved if we hold this tournament on one weekend instead of two weekends this year. Bowlers who originally signed up to bowl on the weekend of November 14 and 15 have been contacted and asked to bowl on November 21 and 22 instead. The squad times remain the same and the entry deadline has been moved to November 18 instead of November 9. We will not have any squads now on November 14 and 15. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this happen. We apologize if this has caused a problem with anyone who is not able to bowl on the available dates.

*E&BC World Tournament News. Courtesy Of E&BC.

Great day, happy Sunday (November 15) to everyone.

Scottsdale - - - We had a very nice tournament yesterday on a very tough 37' Melbourne WTB oil pattern. First of all, congratulations to Ric Watters for being our 1st place finisher in his first ever E&BC Tournament. Congratulations to Linda Skinder for her 2nd place finish, and to Danny Scott for his 3rd place finish. I have attached a standings sheet for the 4-game qualifier and the top 8 2-game round two. The top five bowlers finished in bowling our Eliminator finals. The 4th place finisher was Brian Hainline and our 5th place finisher was Dylan Taylor.

The Eliminator finals came down to the 10th frame between Ric Watters and Linda Skinder. Linda struck out to finish with Ric needing to mark and get 5 pins, which he was able to do by leaving himself a fairly simple 2-pin, picking it up and throwing a 9 count to finish his 10th frame.

Thank you to all who came out and supported this tournament. We had a very good time. Can't wait to see everyone at the next event.

That event should be posted within the next day or two.

We had some issues that affected the live scoring through tournamentbowl.com, but I believe those issues have now been rectified. Due to those issues I do not have a standings sheet for the eliminator.
