Tucson Metro USBC Update

Tucson - - - Tucson Metro USBC wants to thank all current and retired veterans for their service and commitment to our nation. In addition, thank you to all the families of current and retired service members for their support of veterans in their families and for the sacrifices made and commitment as well.
The second annual Tucson Metro USBC Bowlers for Veterans Link In League is taking place (November 4-17). Tucson Metro USBC wants to thank the bowlers who've taken part so far and the centers for their support for this fun fundraiser to Brighten Veterans Lives. Tucson Metro USBC is putting up a guaranteed prize fund of $2,000, for which bowlers can cash twice and enter as many times they bowl in a league on that respective league night.
The 44th Annual Tucson Metro USBC Senior Women’s Open Championships is the next tournament to take place in the 2023-24 Tucson Metro USBC season. Women bowlers, 50 and older, will take to the lanes at Tucson Bowl, November 18-19, for the Singles, Doubles, Team and All Events (9 games total). A Tucson Thanksgiving bowling tradition will take place again with the 2023 Turkey Gobbler Invitation Bowling Tournament at Tucson Bowl. It will be again, a five game scratch sweeper with two divisions: 389 and below and 390 and above. Entry fee is $70 per team, with additional $25 doubles entries being offered. Timothy Jacob is on fire! On lanes 21-22, Tim bowled a 300 game in the Ed Faulk Classic League, Friday November 10. Tim bowled it with the new Hammer NU. This is Tim's fourth 300 so far this season! Congratulations Tim!
Justin Espinosa followed suit in the Ed Faulk League Friday, November 10, bowling a 300 game on lanes 37-38. Nice job Justin!
On Sunday, November 12, Walter Eaddy bowled his first ever 300 game in the Junior Adult Tournament bowled at Fiesta Lanes on lanes 25-26. Great bowling Walter!

Phoenix - - - Only bowlers who have bowled at least two Classic Worlds events are eligible for this tournament. You will find who is eligible for this event by reviewing the tournament averages PDF file. The names highlighted in green are eligible. We will be having $900.00 added prize money. Handicap Tournament Event Entry Fee $60.00; Prize Fund Incentive (PFI)(aka Progressive) $25.00; Re-Entry Fee $50.00. Collegiate and Youth bowlers entry fee is $50.00. Only 1 Squad: 1st squad check in 10:30am - 11:30am w/ tourney play at 11:30am. Bowlers will bowl 4 games head-to-head Swiss-type position rounds. Game winners will receive an additional 30 pins, ties will result in a 15 pin addition for both bowlers. After all games have been bowled, all totals will be ordered high to low. Cut to next round , cutting the field in half for an additional 3 games head-to-head Swiss-type position rounds. Then cut to the Finals/Cashers round for an eliminator with no pins carrying over to determine Champion. All pins with bonus pins carry over to the second round. If you qualify, you cash. $1,000.00 1st place guaranteed with PFI with 64 entries. High game and series pots available. Eliminator and brackets available. We are also offering a scratch alibi side event at $30.00. No side action will include the bonus pins. Location: AMF Union Hills in Phoenix, AZ. When: Saturday, 12/2/23.
