The new season is upon us and there are more Veterans in need of our support and donations. All the money goes to Physical Rehabilitation Therapy outside of the VA hospitals and nursing homes.
In the Metro Phoenix market, members of the Metro Phx. Board of directors, will be coming around too your leagues to pick up your donations.
What number are we hoping for $37,001.00 or higher.

Dylan Taylor wins title #8 at Bowlero Desert Sky! SFT News - Courtesy Of SFT.
Phoenix - - - Our event this weekend was at Bowlero Desert Sky Lanes and unfortunately we again had a low turnout for this event. We had 39 total entries with 25 qualifying entries and 14 economy parlay entries. We paid out just around $2,000.00 in main and side event prize funds for the event. The players bowled on the 42ft Autobahn oil pattern that had some pretty high scores for the day with Dishawn Byrd and Michael Dragon almost shooting 300's. For the most part players able to play up the lanes or were able to swing it through the middle of the lane but had to keep their angles fairly tight. Once the pattern broke down, then you saw scores go through the roof!
We want to welcome Ricardo Moreno to the SFT AHT family! We hope you had a good time in your first SFT AHT event. Congrats to Sean Ashley and Ricardo Moreno on being this weekend's Parlay Power Players, both Sean and Ricardo made it to the quarterfinals on their $25 investment. Also congrats Ricardo for making it to his first ever SFT AHT quarterfinals on his first try! Your winner of the free plastic ball, with an option to upgrade to any Track High-Performance ball for $85.00, was Dishawn Byrd.
The quarterfinals were on fresh oil as usual and the scoring was still higher scoring. Due to the fact that there were only 3-4 bowlers in each division, and the 1 in 3 cut ratio to the semi-finals only advanced 1 bowler per Division. The top bowler in each Division would move straight into the Final match. Your Division Champions would be Dylan Taylor (+171), in the A Division, Dishawn Byrd (+174), from the B Division, and Renee Haney (+52), in the C Division. Dishawn would shoot an honor score 300 game to get by James Fitting (+151) who was right on his heels and got himself into the Finals.
Renee Haney would be making her debut and was looking for his very first title. Dishawn had been hot all day almost shooting a 287 game in qualifying and actually bowling his first sports 300 ever in the quarterfinals!!! Dishawn would be vying for his 2nd AHT SFT title, but he would first have to get past Dylan Taylor. Dylan is an AHT SFT veteran who has plenty of experience in Finals matches. Dylan was looking at getting his 8th overall title and his 4th title of the 2019 season. The amazing thing about Dylan is that he has won most of these titles with little to no handicap.
The final match was an exciting one with Dylan Taylor and Dishawn Byrd both throwing strikes back and forth at each other the entire game. Renee would get a few timely strikes near the end of the game to put some pressure on Dylan and Dishawn. It would all come down to the tenth and final frame. Renee would finish the match first sparing out to finish at 218. Dishawn would get up in the tenth need to strike on his first ball to shut out Dylan. His first shot would look good off his hand, but left a ringing ten pin. Dishawn would spare and strike in to finish at 256 with handicap and put all the pressure on Dylan to double and get nine to win. Dylan would calmly get up and crush the pocket on his first shot. Then on his second shot Dylan looked like he might've missed, but the ball held its line and struck. Dylan would go up and strike on his final shot for an impressive 258 scratch game for his 4th AHT SFT title of the 2019 season and the big check! Congrats to Dishawn for 2nd Place and also to Renee for 3rd Place!
Thanks to everyone that came out today to support the event! We look forward to seeing you next Sunday at AMF Chandler for the last tournament of the Summer Circuit! Hope you all have a great week!!!
