Chandler - - - After a great deal of thought, I've decided it's time to begin slowing down and start planning for retirement. As part of that decision, I've made the difficult choice to sell my pro shop located inside Bowlero Kyrene in Chandler, Arizona, while continuing to operate my other Bowling Dynamics location.
This decision certainly wasn't easy. Since Bowlero Kyrene (formerly Kyrene Lanes) opened in 1988, I've had the privilege of serving the bowling community from this location. Over the past 38 years, I've built lasting relationships, helped thousands of bowlers improve their game, and established a loyal customer base that has supported me every step of the way.
Now I'm looking for the right person to continue serving this amazing bowling community.

Tucson - - - STORM PARTNERSHIP WITH TUCSON METRO USBC: Storm Products Inc. announced its new partnership with Tucson Metro USBC for the 2026-2027 bowling season.
“We are excited to add Tucson Metro USBC to our list of association partnerships and look forward to enhancing all of the tournaments in their season,” said Leanne Hulsenberg, Tournaments and Events Manager for Storm Bowling Products.
Tucson Metro USBC is excited for this opportunity to partner with Storm Products for our 2026-2027 tournament season. Storm Products are widely used by Tucson bowlers in league and tournament competition, offered in pro shops across the city. This partnership enhances this as well as giving opportunities to bowlers to try the entire Storm Products line. Storm and Tucson Metro USBC look forward to creating memorable tournament experiences while continuing to grow the game throughout Southern Arizona.
WELCOME BACK TOURNAMENT: Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 13 (check-instarting at 9 a.m., bowling beginning at 10 a.m.) for Tucson Metro USBC’s Welcome Back Tournament at PINZ - Fiesta, 501 West River Road.
The Welcome Back Tournament is the first tournament on Tucson Metro USBC’s 2026-27 tournament schedule. This is a no-tap tournament, three games, with color pin offerings, raffle prizes, surprises, and fun galore. This tournament gives people the opportunity to bowl in a tournament-type setting, and Tucson Metro USBC's other tournaments will also be showcased.
This year’s event will have something different, with two divisions for averages: 189 and below, and 190 and above. Sanctioned averages from the 25-26 season will be used The entry fee is $25, of which $15 is for lineage and $10 for the prize fund. TUCSON BOWLING TOURNAMENT 2026-27 SCHEDULE RELEASED: Tucson Metro USBC has released its 2026-27 adult and youth tournament schedule. Tucson Metro Youth has fully taken over the Youth tournaments, and the Youth Masters Tournament will take place. The second annual Tucson Swiss tournament has been added to the Tucson Metro USBC schedule.The schedule is currently online at the Metro USBC website, and an advertisement is in Desert Bowler, as well as on posters that will be in Tucson’s bowling centers.
CONGRATULATIONS: Tucson bowler David Majeske was inducted into the Arizona State USBC Hall of Fame for Superior Performance for the Class of 2026 in a ceremony on August 1.
David has had an illustrious bowling career, with thirty-one 300 games, four 800 series, maintaining a 200+ average for more than 40 years, and winning multiple titles at the Arizona State USBC Open and Senior Open Championships and the Tucson Metro USBC Open andSenior Open Championships.
David and his father Bob, became the first father-son bowlers to be inducted into both the Tucson Metro USBC Hall of Fame and now the Arizona State USBC Hall of Fame.

TUCSON - Tucson Metro USBC announced that Park Avenue Jewelers will be the prime sponsors for the Tucson Metro USBC Masters, Senior Masters, and Super Senior Masters bowling tournaments in the 2026-27 season.
“I want to thank Park Avenue Jewelers owner Todd Wacks Sr. for his support of Tucson bowling, Tucson Metro USBC and its efforts and support of tournaments, such as the Masters, Senior Masters and now, the Super Senior Masters,” Mark Kerr, President of Tucson Metro USBC, said.
Park Avenue Jewelers, located at 7029 N. Oracle Rd., is a 5th-generation, family-owned, locally operated, full-service jewelry store in Tucson and will be marking their 50th anniversary next year.
