Annie And Katie Hurley Of Peoria, AZ. Earn Academic Honors At UAB.
BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's bowling team has garnered National TenPin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Team honors for the 2019-20 season.
The Blazers recorded a team GPA of 3.51 for the 2019-20 school year with a 3.61 spring 2020 GPA. All-Academic Team honors are awarded to those programs with a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.
In addition to team honors, seven Blazers earned individual All-Academic honors. Seniors Annie Hurley, Rachel Strogin and Taylor Russell as well as juniors Samantha Johnson, and Morgan Mullinax and sophomores Jamie Krasnigor and Katie Hurley all took home the awards. Individual honors are awarded to student athletes with a 3.4 GPA or higher for the academic year.
Earlier this spring nine UAB bowling student-athletes were named to the MEAC All-Academic Team. The Blazers also had 11 bowlers named to the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and Katie Hurley earned the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
