Mesa Metro To Hold BVL Fund Raiser At Rim Country Bowl In Payson.

Payson - - - The MMA will be holding its first annual Turkey Trot on Sunday November 21, at Rim Country Bowl in Payson. Cost is $50 per bowler, and all proceeds will benefit the BVL. Event is open to all bowlers of the AZ State USBC. Check-in starts at 10:00 am, and bowling to start at 11:00. It is a 5 gamer, and you will stay on the same pair all five games. Brackets will be available. For more information contact the MMA at: 480-969-6944.

TUCSON METRO USBC UPDATE

Tucson - - - Tucson had the opportunity to play host for the 53rd annual Arizona State USBC Senior Open Championships.

The Senior Open took place, October 23-24 and 30-31 at Cactus Bowl. Bowlers from across the state took part in the tournament. Tucson Metro USBC wants to thank Visit Tucson for their help to securing a host hotel, the Desert Diamond Hotel and Casino for the Arizona State USBC and tournament bowlers.

Many good scores were shot, including several 300 games and 800 series, with several honor scores listed in this update. Tucson Metro USBC wants to thank Arizona State USBC for bringing this tournament to Tucson and looks forward to working with them in the future.

During the Arizona State Senior Open, David Prange, Association Development Regional Manager, was in Tucson to meet with your Tucson Metro USBC Board and the Arizona State USBC Board. Prange praised the efforts of your Tucson Metro USBC Board and their work and had a productive meeting with Arizona State USBC Board Members.

On Friday, October 29, your Tucson Metro USBC Board presented 2021 Tucson Metro USBC Senior Masters Champion, Mike Tountas, his Eagle for his impressive victory in the tournament. Donna Hicks, your Tucson Metro USBC Vice President presented Tountas his trophy.

Your Tucson Metro USBC Board announced the next upcoming tournaments for their 2021-22 schedule, the Senior Women’s Open and the Senior Open Championship.

The 42nd Annual Tucson Metro USBC Senior Women’s Open, taking place Saturday and Sunday, November 13-14.

Lucky Strike Bowl, located at 4015 East Speedway, is the host bowling center for this tournament, for Women, 50 years and older.

This tournament will again, consist of nine-games of bowling in three events: Singles, Doubles and Team. This will be a handicap tournament with an optional scratch events. Squads are set to begin 1 P.M. each day.

Your Tucson Metro USBC Association Manager, Steve Harris, stated there are still openings for interested bowlers to take part.

The 59th Annual Tucson Metro USBC Senior Open Championship will take place December 4-5 and 11-12, at Cactus Bowl, 3665 S. 16th Avenue. The Senior Open Championship is open to all bowlers who are 50 and older.

This tournament also consists of nine-games of bowling in three events: Singles, Doubles and Team. This is also a handicap tournament with optional scratch events.

San Jose, CA. - - - This weekend we went to out San Jose, California for our first tournaments of the 2021-2022 collegiate season! We were victorious on both days of the Tony Reyes Memorial Classic 1 & 2!

Great way to kick off our season! We’ll be traveling to Diamond Bar, CA in two weeks for our next tournaments!
