Women’s Open Update: Your Tucson Metro USBC Board is looking forward to their next tournament, the 72nd Annual Tucson Metro USBC Women’s Open Championships, January 22-23 and 29-30, at Bowlero, 114 S. Camino Seco in Tucson. Women bowlers 18 years and older are eligible.
The Women’s Open Championships consists of four events: Singles, Doubles, Team and All-Events. There are handicap and scratch options for these events.
In addition, your Tucson Metro USBC Board will be offering scratch and handicap brackets during the tournament as well as 50/50 drawings. Your tournament directors are Gloria Harris and Belinda Hiscox.
Your Tucson Metro USBC Board wants to thank the management and staff at Bowlero for hosting the Women’s Open Championships.

Senior Open Update: Checks have been mailed out to the bowlers who cashed in the 59th Annual Tucson Metro USBC Senior Open Championships which took place December 4-5, 11-12 at Cactus Bowl.
Here are the winners for this year’s tournament. Team: Re-Rack – 2989. Doubles: Rene Villa, Mark Kerr – 1618. Singles: Kari Snyder – 861. All Events: Dwayne Bruce – 2362. The High Scratch winners were: Team – Ready to Strike 2755; Doubles – Keith Dommer, Dwight Burns 1466; Singles – David Majeske 790, and All Events – Kary Harris 2213. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who took part.
On December 14, Lino Nava Jr., your Tucson Metro USBC Board Member presented Jon Mikkelson his 300 Ring for his perfect game in the Crazy 8's League. Congratulations Jon.
On December 15, Kari Snyder from your Tucson Metro USBC presented Travis Peterson with his honor score award, 800 ring. Travis shot 810 in the St. Joes league at Cactus Bowl on October 13, 2021. Congratulations Travis!
Congratulations to both J.J. Holman and Bryan Van Sickle, who both bowled 300 games in the Brunswick League at Tucson Bowl on December 16.
Congratulations to Robin Hampton who bowled a 297 on lanes 11-12 in Ed Faulk Classic League on December 17. Robin finished with a 736 series!
Congratulations to Bill Plummer who received his 11 In A Row Mug from Stacey Pollard and Donna Hicks from your Tucson Metro USBC Board on Monday December 20, in the Awesome Foursome League at Lucky Strike. Congratulations Bill!
Lastly, a big congratulations to all Tucson league bowlers who bowled an honor score to be awarded a Tucson Metro USBC bowling patch for their success on the lanes. As previously reported, more than 1,000 patches have been awarded.
