President’s Report: Your Tucson Metro USBC Board took office on Sunday, August 1, 2021 to begin their term and planning for the 2021-22 season.

Tucson - - - Hard work, commitment and determination resulted in a schedule of tournaments which saw an increase of sanctioned bowlers, from Tucson and across Arizona taking part.

Noreiks Wins 2022 Queens Title

ADDISON, Ill. - Six years ago, Germany’s Birgit Noreiks made her first United States Bowling Congress Queens televised finals appearance. Six years later, Noreiks returned to the major championship lights of television and won her first career major title.

The 35-year-old right-hander defeated Colombia’s Clara Guerrero, 187-158, in the title match at Stardust Bowl live on CBS Sports Network to become the eighth international player to win the USBC Queens.

ROCKFORD, Ill. - When the Professional Women's Bowling Association Tour returned to The Cherry Bowl this week, the expectation for a special performance came along with it.

Stefanie Johnson of McKinney, Texas, had no problem providing the highlights while etching her name into the history book Sunday when she defeated Liz Kuhlkin of Schenectady, New York, 228-203, to run the stepladder and win the PWBA Rockford Open.

Congrats goes out to Andrew Cain, of Phoenix, AZ. He was inducted into the USBC Hall Of Fame, on April 26, 2022 for meritorious service. The USBC 2022 Convention was recently held at the Orleans Hotel and Convention Center from April 25-28. The 2023 Convention will be held at South Point Hotel & Casino again in Las Vegas, from April 24 - 27, 2023.

Arizona's Di Tormanen To Get David Dahms Coach Of The Year Award.

ARLINGTON, Texas - Diane "Di" Tormanen of Peoria, Arizona, has been named the 2022 David Dahms Coach of the Year by the International Bowling Campus Youth Committee.

The annual award is determined by the IBC Youth Committee based on submitted applications.

PBA 50 Switches To Bowl TV

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Professional Bowlers Association and United States Bowling Congress have agreed on terms to offer exclusive livestreaming coverage of the 2022 PBA50 Tour season on BowlTV.

The agreement will include coverage of every PBA50 event of the season, starting with the PBA50 Lightning Strikes Lanes Open, which gets underway Tuesday, April 19, and concluding at the PBA60 Tristan's T.A.P.S. Memorial on Aug. 22.
